Аннотация

В статье анализируются условия и факторы, определившие в годы Великой Отечественной войны 1941–1945 гг. повышенное внимание англо-американских союзников СССР к регионам Урала и Сибири как стратегической военно-индустриальной базе сопротивления агрессии нацистской Германии и милитаристской Японии. Выявлены особенности позиций США и Великобритании по вопросу роли и значения урало-сибирского тыла в формировании антигитлеровской коалиции, организации борьбы против держав-агрессоров и послевоенной расстановке сил в мире. Приводятся позиции и оценки представителей политического истэблишмента, дипломатов, журналистов, анализируется посвященная Уралу и Сибири литература, вышедшая в США и Великобритании в годы войны.
